The WIA UK Festive Bazaars

The Festive Bazaar is a remarkable initiative that provides a platform to small business owners to both showcase their products and network.  At the same time, it helps to raise vital funds for WIA UK whilst reinforcing our commitment to the empowerment of women. The businesses in attendance are women-owned and are run by enterprising individuals who seek a larger audience for their wares. These range from beautifully hand embroidered clothing, dazzling jewellery, to delicious homemade culinary delights. The exchange between attendees and stallholders is invaluable, as is the opportunity to meet friends old and new. After receiving positive feedback in 2022, we decided to bring back the bazaar in 2023. We would like to share a few special moments from both events. 

Festive Bazaar 2023 

On 11th October 2023 we held our festive bazaar once again at The Rembrandt Hotel, London. Thanks to the continued support of our members and friends, the attendance for this event surpassed that of the year before. In addition to the presence of our patrons, we were honoured to host Mrs Sangeeta Doraiswamy, the wife of His Excellency The High Commissioner of India. 

There was also a notable and appreciated increase in the number of overseas visitors present. This was balanced by the numerous new stallholders who participated in the bazaar, together they created a lively atmosphere. The event was abuzz with chatter, arms were laden with shopping bags and smiles to be seen all round. Most importantly, we raised more than ever before for an event of this size. The proceeds from which will help us to continue our commitment to empowering disadvantaged women and children.
